HOSPITAL PROGRAMS
Joe has a special relationship with hospitals. During the past 30 years, over 1000 hospitals have used Joe to educate staff and community, and to publicize their facilities and programs.
Many hospitals utilize Joe to make their marketing message more relevant and to separate them from the competition. Research shows that institutional marketing messages do not always register with the public. But when marketing messages are linked to information on personal health, the public pays attention.
No one delivers that message like Joe. Audiences know him from his best-selling books, PBS television specials, and numerous media appearances. They are interested in his topic – healthy living - and they trust his advice. There is only one Joe. And when he speaks for your hospital, you gain an important competitive advantage.
SINGLE EVENT
Joe speaks at many hospital events such as "Heart Month" public programs, the opening of a new hospital wing, and a Women's Health Conference. His programs are very popular with the public and ensure large and enthusiastic audiences.A DAY WITH JOE PISCATELLA
Hospitals that wish a more concentrated educational and marketing effort often use A Day with Joe Piscatella, which includes public and for-credit professional presentations, and media interviews.
In addition to an evening public presentation on lifestyle habits and health, such as Living Healthy in a Doubleburger.Com World, Joe gives daytime CME presentations to physicians and CEU presentations to nurses and other staff. Popular topics include Increasing Dietary Compliance and Stress Management for Bailout Times.
As a best-selling author and national expert, Joe is often interviewed by the media. His television, newspaper and radio interviews publicize the hospital and the event. This type of publicity is far more effective than a paid advertisement.
COMMUNITY WELLNESS PROGRAMS
Joe has partnered with hospitals all over the U.S. to present “8-Weeks to a Healthier You,” a positive behavior program for communities and businesses. In the program, which starts and ends with biometric testing, Joe spends one evening a week in your community delivering multiple presentations on developing healthy lifestyle habits. Topics include know your numbers, healthy eating, effective exercise, stress management, healthy cooking and raising fit children. Attendees receive workbooks, books, pedometers, etc., and have goals to accomplish for each week.
Experience suggests that 8 weeks is short enough to promote regular attendance and long enough to form habits. The program is all about behavior change, about engaging attendees with a combination of information and motivation to promote healthy habits.
The health results from previous programs have been very positive. In one program, 650 people lost 4,200 pounds! But the publicity and public relations results for the hospital can also be significant. In one program, the ABC television affiliate had an on-air personality go through the program and report weekly. The result was 8 weeks of coverage for the hospital.
